Anyone ever played (or STILL play) Battletech?

I always enjoyed the game but it is the background and story that has kept me hooked for the last 15 years.

I still remember the first time i used the Masakari (AKA Warhawk) and cored a centre Torso with 4 ERPPC (c)! Scary times. But fun times.

I played Battletech way back in the 90s when I was at the Osnabrück club. Yes, good times. I remember one time (not at band camp) that we set up a U-shaped 'table' (it actually consisted of at least five tables, each big enough to sit six people at). The U shape was required to navigate around the big pillar that was holding the building up... An epic game that lasted quite some hours.

Ral Partha is who you want for Battletech. I've never tried it myself but have always heard good things.

For 6mm gaming we use Future War Commander. I'm currently building an H.G. Wells style Martian army using Pendraken 10mm Tripods and a British army to take the on. A nice bit of Victorian Sci-fi for the new year.

Cheers Bren,

Very useful and the War of the Worlds sounds awsome.
