40k Tournaments in Northampton

Hi all,

not sure if I'm allowed to post this on here but I'm sure its always better to know about tournaments.

There's a bi-monthly tournament happening in Northampton at Wargames Workshop (not GW, its an independant shop). Each tournament in the year is counting towards a champion for the year too.

The next event is on 17th June and it is 1500 points.

There is a trophy for the event too.

There is an entrance fee but its cheaper if you book a place in advance.

The events are organised by a couple of my mates that I've known for years now and they do a good job running campaigns etc.

Do you play up there often?

I ask because I will be moving up that way soon and will be looking for some local clubs.

I play at the shop there every now and then at the weekend tournaments. I go to a club a bit south of Northampton in Cranfield every week. www.cranfield-conquers.co.uk

I don't know about any clubs actually in Northampton but I'm sure there probably is one.

I am going to be moving Kettering way. I know there is a GW store there but was hoping to find a club cos I have heard things in GW stores are not the best for getting games in!

I had a look on the GW clubs list and there are none for that area.
