RAFWA 40k champs

if there are people interested, its on the last weekend in march in coventry, you will need to book a hotel room and join rafwa for a fiver.

all those interested go on to rafwa and follow the instructions under membership on the front page

I'll hopefully go to this. Would it be ok to just send a fiver with the membership form as I don't have a chequebook?

Also, what is the points limit and any restrictions for armies?

towers don't send money through the post, just annotate that you'll pay on the day. send off the form as soon as i'll tell pete and he'll do his best to get you on the forum. because you'll need a hotel room booked to attend really.

this is what i've found so far as its a last minute thing:

Was thinking 5 games, 4 sat, 1 Sunday morning. First game sat would be 500 point combat patrol mission to ease people in then the remaining for would be standard 1750 point games in order of mission first battle Annihilate > Capture and Control > Seize Ground > Last battle Annihilate again. Rolls for deployment type will be carried out at the start of each battle. Just a nice simple tourney for people to have a chilled out weekend to.

me bad i got the wrong dates for the course so im FREE. the unit have also released me from duty for it. not sure about mt though i'll work on that.

can i pay on the day mate as i don't have a chequebook.

as i've said to towers in the above posts no money through the post, annotate on your form for payment on the day, as soon as that is done you can book your hotel room. i believe you have pete's e-mail address, it might be wise to ping him an e-mail just to say your definately interested and and it might be wise if yourself and towers are well aquainted with one another to book a twin room with each other as it works out cheaper.

on the 40k front its always wise to bring terrain and mats plus i'm not 100% sure on the technicalities of it all as the 40k part of the forum has been quite as the person running it doesn't have access yet! its all fun and games, but i'll let you guys know when i know.

COMBAT PATROL COMPOSITION RULES:

• Armies are no more than 400 points.
• You must have one Troop choice.
• You may have one HQ choice, but no more than one.
• You may spend remaining points from anywhere in the Codex.
• No model can have more than 2 Wounds.
• No Special Characters.
• No 2+ saves.
• No vehicles with a total Armour value greater than 33. This is calculated by adding the Front, Side and Rear armour
numbers. (Only count the Side once).

Its got 2 different points limits on the RAFWA site too. I'm confused.

no worries mate i only asked because of the rules listing combat patrol was originally limited to 400 pts if you guys are playing 500 thats fine by me mate.

Gaz thanks for the weekend it was a good event, nice and friendly.

i met a few good lads there and had fun playing against you guys.
