40K 6th Ed - the "Leaked" pdf

So as we're getting into mad rumour season for 6th ed and with a so called leaked copy dpoing the rounds I thought I'd ask what you all thought or hoped for with 6th ed?

I've got hold of the leaked pdf and codex updates and I'm trawling through them as I get some free time but for now I'm liking some of the possibilities its offering but still have no idea if it's real or a hoax.

I really hope that a 6th ed isn't coming out. I've just started getting used to 5th ed, after the last time I played was 3rd ed. If it is coming out I hope it's just a smooth over of some of the rules like 4th to 5th ed

Well Kris if the leak is anything to go by there will be significant changes. evasion for one and a changing around of Assault phase then shooting phase another.

They can't swap around assault and shooting those of that have been playing since near the beginning will be confused for ages. And Evasion? Is this in response to it being 25 years since 40k being started that their bring out 6th ed?

There has been a lot of muttering about the rules of 2nd Ed coming back into the mechanics!

The "leak" is supposed to be a trial book that was being used for play testing.

Its 1 of those things where we are just gonna have to wait for the real thing! There are ssssooooo many different things that everyone would like to see so who knows what will be there!

As it came along with a lot of supposed codex updates I can see it as being an early playtest copy. The updates are pretty much how the codexes play now and not nearly detailed enough to streamline them with the new ruleset in the book.

i got a copy of the 5th ed pre test pdf and it was nothing like the final cut. the missions were different the scoring system, even the assault rules were different (i.e. if you shot with your pistols you couldn't have the +1 for 2 cc weapons, it was an either or).

i'll wait and see just what the new book is like when it comes out, until then even with the leak it's just speculation.
