Dystopian wars!

I thought i would set up a section for discusions.

I personally collect britanian empire and own everything apart from land units and sky fortress(advanced ordered).

I honestly think its the one of the best games i've ever owned. its cheap and a laugh to play once you get your head around the basics.and who doesn't want to throw 20+dice for a full broadside and watch as it does nothing/untold amount of damage. because every roll of a '6' doubles up and you get a extra roll. e.g.you get 7 dice for a turret you roll 1,3,3,4,5,6,6. right every 4+ is a hit plus '6's double and get to roll another which means with those rolls you got 6 hits plus 2 more dice to roll and the '6's keep on extra rolling and doubling. this is the simple reason why this game is so great.

Got to agree with Gaz, cracking game.
I got the bug from Lee, and then went for the Empire of the Blazing Sun.
Also waiting for the French Fleet to rock up on pre-order.
Very simple game mechanics and the minitures are excellent. Masses of detail fro resin models with vey little flash to be removed apart from the tiny flier bases.
Have not had a look at Firestorm Armada or Uncharted seas but i imagine to rules are similar and the minis look great.

personally i'm waiting for the next big player which is the russian coalition which should be really interesting

Me too. Five of the lads at our club now have DW fleets and we've ordered a 4'x6' seascape terrain mat (which should be the dogs proverbials) for all our naval gaming.

i went to pound stretcher and got a blue shower curtain for £2 and aquired a couple of bulldog clips. it does the job.

Excellent idea Verbeej. I'll put it to the lads and I'm sure they'll be up for it. We currently have: 2 x British, 1 x Prussian, 1 x Antarctica & 1 x Japanese.

Edit. In fact two of the chaps have signed on here so we can organise things quite easily.

Goddamnit. I just couldn't resist the temptation and have ordered a french fleet. As if I don't have enough stuff to paint already.

It is good to see the game is flourishing just after i leave! I have a large FSA fleet and am looking forward to getting it into action again. And the french look quite tasty with all their flying shenanigans!
